I found myself willing the romance to blossom despite their differing backgrounds. I was hooked.

A fascinating book to read. Following the two travellers as they visited so many different places was really engaging, and the descriptions made you feel as if you were there with them. Sharing their thoughts and feelings made me want to keep reading to see what would happen next. I’m really looking forward to reading the next book to see how their journey continues.

An absolutely delightful read. I enjoyed stepping into Lexi and Ji ho' adventures around the world. Their slow build up love story will keep you turning the pages, eager to know how it all ends. This book is great read and I recommend it to anyone who loves a great love story.

This is a must read! It’s impossible to read `Chasing Horizons’ without reading `Through the Tides’. If you love a great cliffhanger, then look no further, as cliffhangers are a constant thread throughout the story. Resilience, strength, endurance and love, are key themes throughout the book alongside light touches of humour that create a wonderful read. Mentioning specific scenes would spoil it for those yet to read the book, but one of the quotes that is so vivid in my mind is “I object, because Alexandra is already married….” A fantastic scene that fits neatly into a brilliant story! Well done again Niki Scott - you have outdone yourself!

This book is a heartfelt read that blends travel, self-discovery, and slow-burn romance. Lexi ditches her rigid life for a year of unplanned adventures with elite heir Ji-ho, under strict "no romance" rules. Their contrasting worlds create genuine social class tension that evolves beautifully, especially amid Dubai’s vibrant deserts and markets. I loved the immersive, wholesome vibe and evocative prose focused on connection and freedom. The "no romance" pact turning steamy was totally relatable. I want to see this book come life on screen just the way Niki wrote it. I couldn’t put it down till the end.

A really enjoyable romantic read - including the fabulous locations! The book is part love story and part well-researched travelogue. I liked the multicultural element as expressed in the attitudes and values of the two main characters, taking it from a run of the mill romance to something a bit deeper. And the ‘will they or won’t they’ love story kept my attention throughout. A well written book that’s highly recommended if you’re looking for escapism and relaxation.

I adore this series. And this book- wow! I loved every word! Niki Scott is an amazing writer, incredibly gifted, weaving beautiful prose that is both stunning and wise and leaves the reader wanting more. What a beautiful story this was! I am wowed by the author's writing. She has such a unique, beautiful style. I loved Chasing Horizons, the first book in the series, so much that I wondered how the author would better that but... she did and how! I absolutely loved the family interactions in this book, the ups and downs of Lexi and Ji-Ho's relationship. The clash of cultures, the weight of family expectation. I read it breathlessly, wanting to know what happened next. Beautiful prose, stunning story. This is right there among my favourite series ever. I cannot wait for more from this brilliant author. I very highly recommend this series to everyone.

Chasing Horizons was a thoroughly enjoyable read. I was drawn in from the first chapter and captivated till the end. The chemistry between Lexi and Ji-ho felt authentic as they embarked on their journey of adventure and self discovery. I’m eagerly anticipating the next book in the series, Through The Tides, to see how their story continues.

Exceptional! The author threw all they had into the book - the level of research felt like one was on a geography/travel tour. So much insight into the world around us - facts were cleverly woven into fiction in a way that educates as well as captivates. It makes the reader long to visit those places. The descriptive scenery and vivid imagery invites the reader on the journey and brings a feeling of something that is relatable. There's something here for everyone - the romantic at heart, the historian, foodies and those who simply love to travel. It's a book that spans all generations and the educational aspect is particularly good for those with a love for learning new cultures, new countries and new thinking. The book is a giveaway at the very affordable price and the price does not justly reflect the true value of how much work must have gone into putting it together. It really had me glued and the only way to put the book down was to read it through to the end. Well done Niki Scott - looking forward to following your work and your excellent creativity! PS. I’ve already started the second book!

I haven’t read a novel for years & as quite shocked at the impact, the imagery and description particularly of the geographical location ms made me feel as I had been transported to the very spot it was quite breathtaking. I read both books one after the other in quick succession and at times not wanting to stop reading. This author for me captured the personalities and challenges of crossing cultures and the personal cost.

I absolutely LOVED this beautifully written book! Could not put it down. Stunning prose. Brilliantly realised characters who burrow into your heart. Descriptions that wow. The writing is stunning. A travelogue and love story in one. Loved this book SO much and very highly recommend it to everyone. Cannot wait to read the next in the series and find out where Ji-Ho and Lexi go from here. Just wow! Do read this one!

Another exceptional read! The use of flashback and imagery is a powerful and clever way through which the author takes the reader forward and then brings them back. The story contains powerful lessons that resonate with the moral of never quitting! Anticipating what happens next, is strongly woven throughout the story and highlights the intricacies of life and its various challenges and triumphs! “Lili”, one word that concludes the story, yet within that one word contains the potential of a future book - I can’t wait! Well done to a gifted, creative and hugely talented author!

The plan was to read a few chapters over coffee on a sunny bank holiday Monday. Realised at some point that I was halfway through this delightful page-turner. I found myself 'joining' Lexi and Ji-ho as they stepped away from it all and embarked on a year-long journey to self-discovery and serendipity. The author of this bold debut novel, immerses you further with every sumptuous description of sights, sounds fragrances and even internal dialogue, along the way. This is the art of storytelling simply at its best.
