I’ve always loved a good story.
The kind that pulls you in, makes you care far too much about people who don’t actually exist, and leaves you thinking about them long after you’ve turned the last page.
But I’m a romantic at heart, so love will almost always find its way in.
I write contemporary romance about love, relationships and the beautifully messy business of being human. Expect complicated characters, different cultures, unexpected turns and, of course, plenty of romance. ♡

THE STORY BEHIND THE STORIES
I’ve been a reader and storyteller for as long as I can remember. I grew up devouring Enid Blyton, moved on to Mills & Boon and eventually discovered the suspense and intrigue of Robert Ludlum. My reading tastes are still pretty broad, but romance has always had a special place.
Writing novels, however, wasn’t part of the plan.
I started blogging in 2018, writing about everything from travel and food to health, fitness and whatever else caught my attention. Somewhere along the way, the stories I’d always created in my head started demanding a little more space.
Eventually, one of them made it onto the page.
And then another.
And another.
Chasing Horizons became the first one I shared with the world, and Niki Scott was born.
Turns out the closet romantic had quite a lot to say.
What you’ll find in my books
Love is at the heart of what I write. But I like giving my characters plenty of life to deal with while they’re falling in love.
They have families, careers, cultures, friendships, ambitions, beliefs, baggage and occasionally spectacularly questionable judgement. They get things wrong. They change their minds. They hurt people. They forgive. They grow.
Sometimes the story will take you around the world. Sometimes there’ll be suspense, family drama, betrayal or second chances. Sometimes it’ll be tender, sometimes complicated and sometimes decidedly spicy.
But there will almost always be a love story at its heart.
I want you to laugh with my characters, get annoyed with them, root for them and, of course, fall in love with them.
And perhaps miss them just a little when they’re gone.
When I’m not writing…
You’ll probably find me working out, dining out with friends, searching for good coffee, eating something involving cake or chocolate, or settling down in front of a drama, thriller, documentary or superhero series.
I love discovering new places, but I’m equally happy with a good book and somewhere comfortable to curl up with it.
And horror? Absolutely not. I like my sleep far too much.
